Duties include analyzing website data, developing link-building strategies, creating SEO-friendly content, and staying updated on search engine algorithm changes to ensure the website remains visible and competitive online.
Key responsibilities
- Keyword research: Identify and analyze high-value keywords and search terms to optimize content.
- On-page and technical optimization: Optimize website elements like meta tags and HTML, fix technical SEO issues, and ensure mobile-friendliness.
- Performance analysis: Track key metrics like organic traffic, conversion rates, and time on page using tools like Google Analytics.
- Content strategy: Develop content ideas, provide insights for content creation, and oversee content optimization.
- Link building: Develop and implement strategies to build high-quality backlinks to increase website authority.
- Reporting: Generate reports on SEO performance, monitor search trends, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Competitor analysis: Research competitor websites to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Staying current: Keep up with the latest search engine algorithms, trends, and best practices.
Essential skills
